Interschool Sports Meet 2011 Sangli Mission's First Interschool Sports Meet Interschool Sports Meet of all the schools of the Sangli Mission Society was held at Alphonsa School, Ichalkaranji on Dec. 10, 2011. The event was declared open by Very Rev. Fr. James Athikalam, Director General MST. Sangli Mission extends gratitude and appreciation for all who worked behind the arrangement and conduct of this wonderful event, especially Fr. Thomas Chirayil (Education Secretary of the Mission), Fr. Jojo Chettiakunnel (Co-ordinator of the Interschool Sports Meet), Fr. Bino Vechoopadinjarethil (member of the Coordinating Commitee) and Fr. John Madukoly, Manager of Alphonsa School, Ichalkaranji where the event was conducted. Students from seven schools represented in the competitions. BLESSING of Alphonsa Training Institute / Suvarta Printers, Halondi kolhapur on Dec 10, 2011 BLESSING of Printing Press and Training Institute, Dec 10, 2011 ALPHONSA TRAINING INSTITUTE / SUVARTA PRINTERS, Halondi, Kolhapur was blessed by Mar Sebastian Vadakel, Bishop of ujjain, in the esteemed presence of Very Rev. Fr. James Athikalam (Director General, MST) in the evening on 10th Dec. 2011. The 'switch-on' ceremony was carried out jointly by Bishop Vadakel, Very Rev. Fr. James Athikalam, Bro. Wilson, Rev. Fr. Thomas Karamel, Fr. Joby Njanlliyil, Fr. Joy Kunnel and Fr. John Madukoly. Congrats and best wishes to Fr. Saji Chakiriamthadam MST who initiated and shaped this great and wonderful venture of the Sangli Mission. Alphonsa Training Institute / Suvarta Printers is the first and the only Printing Press of the Missionary Society of St. Thomas the Apostle. Rev. Fathers, Sisters, friends and well-wishers from all parts of the Mission were present at the blessing and inaugural ceremonies.
